Dear Parents/Carers,
The contents of this letter apply only to parents/carers of children who have helped, or wish to help, at open evening.
As you are aware, we unfortunately had to cancel our first open evening event which was due to take place on 26/9/23. This was due to our Ofsted inspection. The academy is holding a replacement event on Tuesday 10 October between 6pm and 8pm.
I am grateful to all of the students who volunteered their time to help with the first event, making it a huge success, and I know many have already asked about helping out with this second event. In order to make this process as simple as possible, we will assume that students who already returned parental consent to help at the previous open evening, also have parental consent to help at the event on Tuesday 10 October, should they wish to.
Therefore;
- If you previously returned consent, and your child would like to help at the next open evening event – you don’t need to do anything at all – we look forward to their amazing contribution to this important event.
- If you previously returned consent, but your child would not like to, or is unable to help at this open evening event – please can they let their form tutor know and we will remove them from the list. Alternatively, you may email your college admin directly with this information.
- If you have not yet returned any consent, but your child would like to help at the next open evening event – please can you email your college admin with your permission.
I hope that this simplifies the process and saves parents/carers having to return additional consent forms. Once again, I wish to thank all of the students who have helped with our programme of open events so far, and for parents/carers who have helped accommodate this.
