Dear Parent/Carer
I am pleased to inform you that the Longfield Academy Sport Day 2022 will be held Friday 30th June.
The structure for Sports day will be as follows:
- 08:44 – 09:45 Lesson 1 normal timings
- 09:50 – 10:50 Lesson 2 normal timings
- Break
- 11.10 – 12:10 Period 3
- 12:10 – 12:40 Lunch
- 12:40 PM Registration in forms. Bag drop off.
- 12:45 PM Tutor escorts students onto the field.
It is therefore essential that students still bring in their equipment for their normal lessons. Students are expected to wear their Full Academy PE kit to school ready for our sports day. Those who do not participate are still required to come to school in Full Academy PE kit and will be spectators in a supervised area outside.
As students are going to be out on the school field for a long period of time we advise that they wear and bring sun cream (factor 50+), a plain coloured hat/cap and plenty of water whether they’re taking part or not.
With the quick turnaround between lunch and the start of sports day it is also advised that students eat a lighter lunch especially if competing in any running events. They may also want to bring in their own lunch on that day as the helix will be very busy.
Pupils who do well in this event may be chosen to go on to represent the Academy at the Leigh Academies Sports day where they will be competing against other Academies in the trust which will be held at Dartford Athletics track.
