Dear Parents/Carers,
Longfield Academy is delighted to announce that we will be running a careers fair on Friday 13 January 2023, for our students in Years 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13. The event will see us welcome visitors from a wide range of organisations, including:
- Local further and higher education provisions
- Apprenticeships
- Public service careers
- Hair and beauty careers
- Engineering and construction careers
- Human resources careers
- Local authority careers
- Healthcare and emergency response careers
Plus others!
Students in year groups 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 will be escorted to the fair, held in our theatre, at a set time on the day. They will be out of one lesson for approximately 15-20 minutes. The lesson and timings will be advised by their class teacher on the day. Students in years 7 and 8 will be involved in other career events later on in the academic year.
I trust that you will join me in encouraging your child to engage with this exciting opportunity to get a flavour for the boundless opportunities in the world of work, and also to explore possible next steps into their future.
