Jeans for Genes Fundraiser

Two male Post-16 Longfield Academy students sit together whilst writing on paper with pens.

Dear Parents/Carers,

On the 23rd of September staff and students at Longfield took part in the annual Jeans for Genes day. As a school we managed to raise £258.32 to go towards charities that help children with genetic conditions. We just wanted to inform you and thank you for your support with this fundraising opportunity.

Students took part in activities and assemblies. This allowed us as a school to spread awareness of both what Jeans for Genes day is and how the money raised supports the cause.

A large group of students took part in wearing Jeans to school and it was a thoroughly good day enjoyed by all.

Kind Regards,

Mr Rhys Pearson
Head of KS3
