The leadership structure of Longfield Academy is derived from the small-school college model. The Principal has overall responsibility for the entire academy. Within each of the three colleges; Anderson, Matisse and Galileo, there is one Vice Principal who heads the college. There are then two Assistant Principals in each college. Whilst all these members of the leadership team are linked with a specific college to offer pastoral leadership, they each have roles and responsibilities across the entire academy.
Collectively, this is known as the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
