What content is on the course? How is the course assessed?

This is an exciting new course that we are looking to introduce from September 2025. As it is a new course, we will be updating key information when it becomes available. If you are interested in applying for this course, or would like any additional information about it, please contact the academy directly using the contact above, or speak to our post-16 team directly.

Where could this course lead?

The Extended Certificate is for students who are interested in learning about the medical science sector alongside other fields of study, with a view to progressing to a wide range of higher education courses, not necessarily in medical science related subjects.
