Careers Fair 2025

Careers Fair 2024

The Longfield Academy Careers Fair 2025 took place on January 17. The event was an exciting opportunity for students in Year 8 upwards to speak with employers and educators about the options which they could consider in future.

We were joined by a large number of stallholders, representing a range of local organisations, businesses and education providers. We were delighted to welcome representatives from:

What did our students think?

Students were surveyed to establish their viewpoints on the event, what they got out of it, and how it could be improved going forward.

  • 92% of students rated the overall experience at least “worthwhile”.
  • 82% of students agreed that the event to some extent inspired them to consider their future career and options in a way they had not done previously, for example university or an apprenticeship.

“I had not really thought about an apprenticeship before but I can see the benefit to it now.”

“I liked the fact that I was able to attend this event again this year, as I remember some of the stalls I spoke to last year. It was really interesting to see how my own mind has changed.”

“It was great fun – I really enjoyed it. I found the TLevel stall really interesting; I had never given much thought to this as an option but I am going to now!”

What did our visitors say?

“It is great that we can work with a local academy to help inspire the next generation. The students conducted themselves brilliantly, we were really impressed. We look forward to working closely with you in the future.”

“A very well organised event, with wonderful students. Thank you for inviting us!”
