On Monday 13th and Tuesday 14th January, our KS3 girls and boys participated in a 5-a-side football tournament as part of the Leigh Academy Trust sports events. On both occasions, the student’s conduct was exemplary and both teams represented the school with ambition and resilience.
The KS3 boys narrowly missed out on a medal, coming third in their group which put them into the 5th and 6th Play-offs against Bexleyheath. The KS3 Girls had some incredibly close games, but managed to secure a win against Leigh UTC and Sir Geoffrey Leigh Academy. The PE department is incredibly proud of those students involved, as we hope students continue to thrive in their representation of Longfield Academy within the Trust.
