As you are aware, we have invested in Tassomai for all year 10 and 11 students. Tassomai is an intuitive, easy to use platform that helps students learn more effectively and gain the best possible result in Science. It has already been proven to be a powerful tool in identifying and filling gaps in knowledge and will be an excellent resource to support home learning.
As students complete their daily goals the program adjusts the questions based on the students individual performance. If a topic area is deemed challenging due to incorrect answers it will then simplify questions to build confidence backup before increasing the challenge again. It is vital that students complete their daily goals regularly as the system has been designed on the premise of ‘little and often’ along with firm foundations in the cognitive science of learning.
As parents/carers, you can also receive weekly reports on progress; this means you can have informed conversations around your child’s areas of strength as well as development and, most importantly, ensure they are using Tassomai regularly.
To ensure the students are completing this regularly we have set Tassomai as part of their homework. Students should be completing their Tassomai daily goal at least 5 times a week and this will take them around 10-15 minutes each time. The science department is monitoring the use and progress of students on Tassomai through a leader board and this is published weekly.
